October 15, 201213 yr I stumbled upon this video earlier. Even though the 777 is such a large aircraft, it is amazing to see how gracefully the landing gear meets the ground. I find it hard to believe that the landing gear can even support such a large bird. Anyways, I thought I'd share this with you guys. Arzaan Khairulla Arzaan Khairulla

October 16, 201213 yr Geat video mate, it really shows how much punishment the landing gear takes. The punishment is really given out to the nose gear. After touchdown and spoiler extension the selection of reverse causes a large nose down pitch that needs alot of back pressure to stop the nose slamming onto the tarmac. As has been said a fair few times in the cockpit 'you've landed economy, now you need to land First!'. The cockpit on the 200 series is 29.5 metres ahead of the main gear! GregL :-)
