  1. I was using PTAbsolute at the time. I've disabled it, and I'll try the flight again to see if the issue persists.
  2. I have a pretty annoying issue since updating to P3D v4.1. Two or so hours into a flight, the textures on the lower panel get replaced (that is, when I load the sim, its fine, but then after a while, they change). I have tried three flights from KIAH - KLAX and it has happened all three times. Each flight took place at a different time of day. I have also done the same flight in v4.0 and not had the problem. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? Edit: I do have the latest update from the ops centre.
  3. Thanks, I'll try cycling Q a few times during my long flights to stop the issue.
  4. Hi everyone, When I do long flights, I usually like to turn off the sound in the sim when I get to cruise (by pressing "Q") so that I can check on my flight and not have the noise of the engines fill my headphones suddenly when I switch back into the sim. I have noticed that when I do this for a long time (usually on flights of 4+ hours), the cockpit noises are gone when I turn the sound back on. That is, in the cockpit, I can still hear the engines, but can't hear any of the noises such as the flap handle moving, the autopilot disconnect alarm, callouts etc. In the external views, all the noises work just fine. I have had this issue with both the 777 (in FSX:SE) and the 747 (in P3D v3). I have also checked all of the sound settings in the sim and in the FMC to ensure that all playback devices are setup correctly. I've never had the issue when I've kept the sound on for the whole flight. Does anyone know of a fix for this slight issue, or why the issue is happening at all?
  5. I really like how all the options are in the FMC and the aircraft's level of customization that the aircraft has for the pilot (i.e. HGS, Airstairs, Callouts etc.) and how complex the aircraft is, but easy to pick up. After flying a few tutorial flights, I found that I was quite proficient with the aircraft.
  6. As Tim, make sure you do the tutorials made by Ryan, they are very well written. If you want another source of information, check out fsxpilot767's YouTube channel, he has a whole video tutorial series on the aircraft and he does other things like going over holding patterns, going around etc. I learned most of what I know about the NGX from him.
  7. I stumbled upon this video earlier. Even though the 777 is such a large aircraft, it is amazing to see how gracefully the landing gear meets the ground. I find it hard to believe that the landing gear can even support such a large bird. Anyways, I thought I'd share this with you guys. Arzaan Khairulla
  8. The engines are what supply the power for your digital instruments in the cockpit, this means that your problem is that your aircraft is loosing power when your aircraft is shut down. To avoid this, either turn on the apu when on the ground and taxiing to the gate, or go into the FMC, go to FSACTIONS then GROUND CONNECTIONS, then on Connect the Ground Power by clicking the Line Select Key next to it. Then, on the overhead, click on the ground power available switch to turn it on. After that you can shut down the aircraft without loosing your cockpit displays. Arzaan Khairulla
  9. Hi all, I've been flying the NGX now for the past few months and it's been a great experience, but just yesterday when loaded up the aircraft, I noticed that when I moved my mouse there was a delay with the movement of the mouse cursor on screen, and I usually had to press things twice for them to activate. This happens mostly when the FMC is up (Shift + 3) but it also happens in flight and on the ground. I get on average around 16 fps in the VC, I've tried replacing the batteries in my mouse ( my mouse works fine outside of the simulator), restarting the simulator and my computer, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
