October 16, 201213 yr Hi Everyone I just came on here to ask you all, are you enjoying your PMDG 737? Here are a list of things that I like the most about the NGX. The FMC - fully functional, and LOVE the in-built load manager. Also like the ground connections and the PMDG setup pages. I love the flexibility to change all settings from the eyebrow window configuration, to the option of steel or carbon brakes. The Livery Manager - ability to easily install liveries is just great. The Virtual Cockpit - everything in the cockpit except the circuit breakers are fully interactive, and love the realism of the autopilot engaging and the different air conditioning temperatures and how they affect the cabin temperature. The HGS - love the HGS, great for those visual approches in heavy fog. Hope to talk to all of you soon Antoni
October 16, 201213 yr Great plane, but it's not the only thing i fly, no way. October 16, 201213 yr I love flying using real world procedures, the FMC, the graphics quality etc. Thanks, Kevin L
October 16, 201213 yr Absolutely! I used to say that only maddog have better system simulation, becouse of circuit brakers and icing conditions. But now, after I started to use manuals, i use NGX 99% of my flights. I rarely use the Maddog, MD11 or JS41. Exept excelent systems&procedures, I don't know any other aircraft for fsx/fs9/x-plane with so realistic behavior on landing for example Zeljko Budovic
October 16, 201213 yr I can only see 2 figures above my RWY course knob.. If I wanna set 246 how to do that..? it shows only 24 :(
October 16, 201213 yr Krishnanand, please open a new topic in the 737NGX support forum. More people will see your post if you post a new topic. For your problem, though, does it only show "24" or does it show "024"? Thanks, Kevin L
October 16, 201213 yr It's the best commercial jetliner simulation ever made in the history of flight simulation. It's all I can fly now. Nothing can touch it. Paul Wood
October 16, 201213 yr I'm afraid the NGX have become somewhat of an addiction to me.. damn you PMDG Kind regards Jan H Dahl
October 16, 201213 yr I really like how all the options are in the FMC and the aircraft's level of customization that the aircraft has for the pilot (i.e. HGS, Airstairs, Callouts etc.) and how complex the aircraft is, but easy to pick up. After flying a few tutorial flights, I found that I was quite proficient with the aircraft. Arzaan Khairulla
October 16, 201213 yr Yeah, I have to agree, totally addictive! Just wish I had more time to fly it, but then again, we can say that about a lot of things I guess LOL! It is an astonishing simulation and really makes you get that "real" feeling when simulating flying the line. My VA extensively uses the 737-600, -700 and -800, so I have all of them. Since the -900 replaces the 757, I also use that on our 757 routes, so there isn't one in the family that I don't fly! I also love the HUGS and I believe that some accidents in aviation would not have occurred had the pilots had this system to rely on. I hardly fly ILS approaches in good weather anymore. I simply switch the autopilot off about 10nm or so out and fly the aircraft in manually - such a joy! This of course greatly increases your flying skills flying the bigger jets in manually, so all around it is an amazing product! October 16, 201213 yr To me it is the best addon airplane available! To be honest I have been having a little break from flying the NGX and have been flying the MD11, but when you fly other planes it is the little great things that you miss. The built in options and load manager are a good example and also I love the little indicator of where you hardware throttle is positioned, so you can get it right when disconnecting AP every time.
October 16, 201213 yr Yes it's a perfect addon. As you said the Livery Manager, the HGS and so much more. I like the fact to setup the displays with the FMC so you can directly see how it looks. IMO, rhis aircraft was worth the money. - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)
