  1. My wife has just threatened me with serious bodily injury if I attempt anything like that !
  2. It's very good. Lovely external modelling, nice VC and a convincing flight model . I'm pleasantly surprised to find something like this still released as freeware in this day and age. Hats off to the developers !
  3. Hi ipa, just to let you know the same thing happened to me on my first flight - a similar 30 degree deviation. Wasn't aware of the D key fix, as I've never encountered this before. I'll give it a go.
  4. Owned it since the day of release - no problems with frame rates at all.
  5. Another big vote for Airsource. It's the variety of airlines/aircraft available that keeps it fresh for me. As mentioned above, the GA division where you can spend your virtual earnings on rentals is another great idea..
  6. We have to uninstall all PMDG made NGX and J41 liveries - Does that include the actual PMDG house liveries? I've got that many installed for the NGX, I'll be struggling to identify which are PMDG's and which aren't !
  7. Maybe it's me, but I struggle to understand a decision not to purchase a GA aircraft with this much system depth and all round immersion for the sake of a few knots here or there. I feel you're really missing out. Not criticising mind....we all sim in our own way !
  8. I think it's real shame that the Sibwings Antonov AN-2 doesn't seem to get more love on these type of threads. A truly superb rendition that captures the quirks of the real thing very well. My GA favourite. The obvious suspects for tubeliners. Regional, Majestic Dash8. Short/medium haul, PMDG NGX. Long haul PMDG 777
  9. Probably because, as Ron mentioned above, it needs a really significant amount of nose down trim to stay level. A real looker tho'
  10. As do many folks, I dearly love the obvious candidates - PMDG NGX, 777, MD-11 and J41. Majestic Dash 8, RealAir Duke, Legacy. A2A C172 and Cub etc. BUT... if you restricted me to just one, as stated above, for sheer originality, quirkiness, the ability to do things differently and downright fun, I would stick with the vastly underrated Sibwings AN - 2. (Their Birddog isn't too shabby either). Whatever floats your boat !
  11. Like the OP, I'm also having problems with an intermittent failure of the top half of the digital VSI. Sometimes disappears, at other times it starts flickering. It's really weird in that its only the top half of the gauge. It certainly seems to be related to cycling through the 2D pop up windows. Leave them alone and it seems to be OK.
  12. Qualitywings RJ85 in Cityjet livery.
  13. I'm based in the UK and have never experienced the slightest problem purchasing from PMDG - quite the reverse (and I've bought nearly everything they've made). You're in safe hands, trust me
  14. Whatever your feelings about the politics/environmental issues surrounding Concorde, it can't be denied that it was a seriously impressive piece of kit. Like Ray I've done the technical tour at EGCC - it's when you get up close that you really appreciate how amazing it was given the technology of the time. The flightdeck doesn't really feel particularly high tech though !
  15. Many thanks for the heads up - been waiting for this !
  16. For a complete contrast I've used the A2A C172 a few times - other than that nothing else has been touched.
  17. Now you are talking! I grew up living under the flightpath to EGCC Manchester where they were very regular visitors. One of the most graceful airliners ever made.
  18. Another vote for the Skymaster here.
  19. Now I've been able to spend some time with it, I consider it to be a superb piece of software and fully lives up to expectations. Yes, there are some similarities with the NGX - inevitable given Boeings design philosophy, but it is a whole different animal on several levels. Reading the manuals its amazing the detail that's been put into this thing and I doubt that many simmers (me included) will ever fully explore what's 'under the hood' If you want a long haul tubeliner then this is the gold standard

Are you sure this is the right hobby for you ?
  21. A big +1 here. As one of the people unable to see/download liveries initially, I'm really impressed by the support and speed by which a problem that hadn't cropped up in beta testing has been fixed. Do you guys sleep ? Anyway, I'm off to fly this thing now ^_^
  22. I was thinking the same - it'd keep me happy until the issue can be fixed !
  23. Guys, If like me you're one of several unable to download liveries, and just get I getting the "1 New Notification" alert in red that comes up, just letting you know that a ticket has been raised earlier today. Ryan e-mailed me to advise that it's been passed on to Matt to look at.

Same problem here - I've raised a ticket and Ryan's been back to me. The team are currently looking into it
  25. Luis, I've got exactly the same problem. I don't think it's due to a 'rush'. I submitted a ticket and Ryan and the team are currently looking into it.
