October 16, 201213 yr Hey all! Had a little bright moment a couple of days ago, finally got around getting Shade to work for P3D. So this would work given that you have the following: - FSX - REX for FSX - Shade for FSX - P3D up and running - and 5 minutes So here are the steps to follow to get this working! - Start by installing the desired sky textures that you want with Rex into fsx. - Then open Shade GUI and select the desired Shadow effect that you would like - Go to the "Set and Forget" tab in Shade and Set and forget it It seem to me that shade inserts shadow values into the sky texture files in fsx, that`s what got me thinking that this might work, looking at the interface in Shade where you can see the shadow values if you click on each texture there. but anyways, now lets put it into P3D! - Go into your fsx texture folder Flight simulator X/Texture and copy all textures that start with Sky (BMP and DDS files) - Now go to Prepar3D/Texture and paste, overwrite when asked! - Start up P3D and take an evening flight and let me know if it works for you! Hopefully it should look something like this! If you wish to make backups you can, but strictly speaking, a bakcup isn`t needed, just go into Rex and install sky textures without running shade and copy them into P3D! Hope this all works for you P3D flyers out there! Cheers! Tommy ps, Maybe Moderator could make this one a Sticky? My photos is to be found here! http://www.flickr.com/photos/tommy91_photo1/
October 18, 201213 yr I don't know about you, but with the Migrator, I got the Shade working inside of seconds after installation. There was no copying or modding of any kind required!
October 18, 201213 yr Author Well, ok. I don`t have the migrator, so i guess this is a solution for those who don`t have the migrator tool My photos is to be found here! http://www.flickr.com/photos/tommy91_photo1/

October 18, 201213 yr Have you managed to get the ENB Mod to work? It's the only thing I can't use the Migrator for... Haven't tried it yet, but if I do, I'll let you know.
October 18, 201213 yr The enb mod dll seems to be incompatible with Prepar3d.exe, but good luck! Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato
October 19, 201213 yr Author Really, i have it working, though in fullscreen that is. Just copied it from fsx to p3d the d3d9.dll and the enbseries.ini My photos is to be found here! http://www.flickr.com/photos/tommy91_photo1/
October 19, 201213 yr Are there any side-by-side before and after photos of Shade in P3D. It seems that L.M. has done a pretty good job enhancing the landclass textures already. If Shade can make that better then I am interested. regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
