SHP TPE331

Does anyone know what engine horsepower PMDG modelled in the Jetstream 41's dynamics? The TPE331-14s fitted came in 1500 and 1650 hp flavours, and I've seen both numbers mentioned in PMDG documentation.

The aircraft page at airliners.net says that the 1650 hsp power plant was designed after the 1500 shp one. Perhaps PMDG used a newer J41?

I recall the newer model - 1650SHP, but cannot document it. Maybe it is worth looking to aircraft.cfg? There are some engine parameters for sure.

That did cross my mind but then I remembered that they fill the aircraft.cfg with values to make it fly "on the numbers" not necessarily the actual real life values. So even if it does read 1650 in the .cfg or air. that could be coincidental

If it is indeed the 1650 shp one I dread to think what the 1500 shp was like in hot and high with the engine and elevator anti-ice on!

When it is hot, Eng/Elev AI is usually not needed. I cannon see the bird climbing with 1500SHP, 24000lbs (MTOW) and hot/high with Eng/Elev AI on.
