October 24, 201213 yr Hello, First -- my apologies. I am sure I'm doing this wrong (posting in the wrong place, asking the wrong question, not giving enough information, etc). But any assistance is appreciated. I am new to MS Flight Simulator. I recently bought the MS Flight Simulator X, plus a Saitek AV8R-01 stick, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, and a Flight Link Collective. I understand there are setting on the computer and also within the FSX software for these devices, and I've worked on getting them set, but I cannot get it right. I've flown gliders in the past, so I have some basic understanding of how the control surfaces on a regular plane work. I have never flown a helicopter, but I sort of understand how that should work. Bottom line --- I cannot get the setup correct. I've searched the archives, but the information I need seems to be so specific to my computer, the version of the software, and the particular drivers, that I still am failing on this task. I am asking for help. In fact, if someone is in Denver, and willing to help me set this up on my computer, I'd be willing to pay you for your time. Thanks, Mike aka Soleilandluna

October 24, 201213 yr Did you try the Saitek website where you can download the different drivers needed to run the hardware? All this information about setup of the Saitek product is out there. Do a google search of the problem you're having. I'm sure someone else has had the same problem solved online somewhere...the answers are all out there by now it seems. Good luck!
October 24, 201213 yr Do not install any of the Saitek software, delete all associations in FSX and the controllers. Then install FSUIPC and set up the controls in that addon. Gives you smooth and trouble free controls. Search this forum for guides, lot of info here on FSUIPC. Regards Morten Steen Sent from my iPhone via Tapatalk
October 24, 201213 yr First -- my apologies. I am sure I'm doing this wrong (posting in the wrong place, asking the wrong question, not giving enough information, etc). But any assistance is appreciated. I know you were looking for info on FSX but you are in the MSFlight forum, a much different beast. I also have FSX gold but you should really check out www.microsoftflightflight.com. Yes, I know many people think it is a dead end because development has been stopped but it is still well worth the effort to check it out. It is a free download to begine with so it costs you nothing. Once you get past the iritating first scenario it will open up to the entire big Island of Hawaii with much to do. Also the control setups work well for rudder pedals and joystick or just the mouse if you are so inclined. It can be expanded or not from that point as you see fit. You can get a lot of the basics that can be applied to FSX at any time. I run both for different reasons but still injoy Flight for its MOSTLY trouble free smooth performance and just plane fun. Good luck and welcome Steve
