I have ati 6850 but it's not GPU fault. From your description seems like the fix not installed properly. We all had this runway flickering problem before the fix.

Hi Jewel,

Thanks for the reply. May i check if your grpahics are as good or even better then DX9?

Steve's instructions advise that you run the sim in DX10 mode before you apply the patch, Gizmo.. Did you do this?

Yes i did.

Go to your C:\Users\{your username}\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\ and delete the two Shaders folders, then re-start the sim - then let us know the result... thanks,

OK. This is pretty confusing... forgive me for being pedantic:

It's tough to diagnose this problem with the vague answers, Gizmo; (sorry) - so we'll try a different tack - let's do two things:

We need to see your fsx.cfg. Would you copy and rename the copy as "fsx.txt" and attach it to your reply, please?

..and secondly, would you (in Windows Explorer) go to your ShadersSHLSL\General folder and highlight the name "General" in the left window pane , so that you can see the contents of the folder in the right window pane. This is what it should look like.

When you've done this - can you take a screenshot of it and post it somewhere, so we can also see it.

If you don't have any online photo album - you can use a (free) DropBox, and you can get that here.

There's no reason to think that we cannot fix it, so don't give up, and we'll just take it one step at a time OK?

Thanks,

pj

Hi Paul,

My apologies if my answers are not clear. Im still learning. Paul, i have done as you mentioned but i do not know how to upload the dropbox. Both my FSX.CFG.Txt & Shader info is in my dropbox acct. Would appreciate if you could tell me.

Thanks

Dushantha Baduge

Open the Dropbox folder that was created when you first started the Dropbox account, - either on your desktop or in your "User" folder. Put your screenshots into the "Photo's" folder, and files that can be downloaded, go in the "Public" folder. These will be automatically published to a website.

Rt-clk on the file or photo/screenshot in whichever folder, and select "Copy public link:", then all you do isjust paste the link into your Avsim post - like this:-

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52676345/DX10_Fix/Rain/Rain40.fx

When you press the "Post" button, it will change to a blue, underlined link. OK?
