November 4, 201213 yr Author Update: I´m home again and tested that Windows does start up entirely from the SSD without anything off the HDD. So it looks like the old partititions H: and G: are obsolete. But now I´ve got a new problem concerning my Desktop: A lot of the pictures of the links on the desktop have vanished and also deleting and relinking them to the desktop doesn´t bring them back. November 4, 201213 yr Author Well, is your FSX partition having the same letter as before? If you don't know, best look into the registry, key called CDPath in: Everything else wihc is missing is on the Partitition D: (Daten) on teh HDD as it was before. In case of FSX I could bring the icon back with reconnectiong it to teh desktop. With others is didn´t work that way. EDIT: Forget that, another restart brought all the icons back. So what to do with the old partititions? Can I just delete them without harming the remaining one? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
November 4, 201213 yr So you are 100% sure the path is the same and that all data is available? What happens when you doubleclick on the FTX Central, does it start? There is a solution which helped me on several occasions, but no guarantees: Delete(move) the desktop.ini or thumbs.db (if it's there) file, which is hidden on the desktop. Gotta show systemfiles and hidden files in folder options. Now I don't even have it any more, but I remember some problem in the taskbar when I used to have the same problems...
November 5, 201213 yr Author So you are 100% sure the path is the same and that all data is available? What happens when you doubleclick on the FTX Central, does it start? Yeah, everything is 100% working. SoO what to do with the redundand partititions? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

November 5, 201213 yr What is the reason? The reason is the support for Bitlocker Drive-Encryption. If you want to encrypt the drive, the program for encryption must be on other partition. This is why this partition is automatically created. And at the same time it then holds the bootmanager too. It is why you can't just delete it. I think I explained it earlier already... Yeah, everything is 100% working. SoO what to do with the redundand partititions? Hmm, OK. Weird enough. You basically need to force the machine to rebuild the systemcache. It is falsely cached. Try this: http://www.sevenforu...he-rebuild.html This helped me a long time ago I remember... Redundant partitions: delete? You wrote you checked if windows is booting without any other drives and everything's working? Well then format them and use for data or whatever!
November 5, 201213 yr Author Redundant partitions: delete? You wrote you checked if windows is booting without any other drives and everything's working? Well then format them and use for data or whatever! Done and it worked like a charm. Now I´ve got the partitition C: (System) on the SSD and two data partititions on my HDD. I guess that´s it. Thanks for all. :-) Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
November 11, 201213 yr Author I thought my PC would be perfect but I guess I was wrong. Since yesterday evening I had 3 BSOD´s, all relating to an "Unhaldeld Interrupt Exception" of my Marvell controller driver. Maybe it´s time for upgradeing this one. I don´t really know which version it is but I found version 11. something on the Marvell hompage. is that worth a try? EDIT: I found the file "mv91xx.dll" in my system folder and the file mv91xx.sys was always the culprit for the BSOD´s. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
November 11, 201213 yr I returned the P8P67 because the Marvell failed. It wasn't recognizing any disks any more.
November 11, 201213 yr Author I returned the P8P67 because the Marvell failed. It wasn't recognizing any disks any more. The SSD is recognized correctly but just the Marvell controller refused to work. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
November 11, 201213 yr The SSD is recognized correctly but just the Marvell controller refused to work. Yep, same here. SSD is on 6G, two disks were hooked up to Marvell. Both failed to show up. Now I have Z77.
