Multiple Shadows in Cockpit

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else have this issue with multiple shadows inside the cockpit with DX10 (see image)? I installed Paul's DX10 Shader mod with all of the mods completed with the latest updates as I was having issues using the installation features. I also have the recommended FSX.cfg and NI settings. Otherwise everything looks great. The photo is the default 737 but it happens in all aircraft. Thanks to anyone who might have suggestions to fix.

Best regards,

Jim

Hi Paul,

There must be something wrong with my installation as I'm pretty sure no one else has seen this. Each one of those diagonal lines are different shadows and there are at least 12 on the panel. I don't recall seeing this with the original fix. Hurricane Sandy has just hit my house and there is massive rain and it is suppose to be here for 3-4 days so I will have plenty of time to troubleshoot. I plan on deleting the shadow folder and replace it with the one you posted with all the latest patches already installed. I'll get it figured out. I mainly wanted to post this just in case someone else has the problem or gets the problem in the future as I hope to post the fix some day soon. Since I appear to be the only one with this issue, doubt it's a problem with Steve's fix.

Best regards,

Jim

Okay. Think I fixed it. Display driver settings somehow changed and changed them back to the current settings on Paul's How To link. Still saw the issue but not as bad. Opened up Nvidia Control Panel and went to the Adjust desktop size and position and changed scaling mode from "No scaling" to Full Screen and checked the box, Override the scaling mode set by games and programs. Issue mostly gone.

Best regards,

Jim

I have not see that either. Rather odd. All you can do it change some settings 1 or 2 at a time. Maybe be a nVidia Inspector thing?
