November 6, 201213 yr Windows 8 Pro is available as an upgrade for a decent low price. If I do it, is it better to re-install FSX from scratch or just run repair? What has been your experience? Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
November 6, 201213 yr I wouldn't reinstall FSX if you are getting the upgrade version unless FSX stops running for some reason. Upgrading the OS shouldn't affect your installation of FSX and addons at all. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! November 6, 201213 yr If you're upgrading from W7 you won't have to do either; W8 will migrate all your user settings and apps if you choose to. FSX should work fine after the upgrade, bearing in mind that some people on these forums including myself, have been experiencing joystick communication issues with FSX and P3D under W8.
