Anyone played FSX the game and finnished all the missions?

Featured Replies

I just did a reinstall of FSX and thought I'd play through FSX (the game) and complete all the missions. Just finnished the Loopy Larry mission today - it took me a while. Actually I'm hooked, and most of the misions are quite good IMHO.

Anyone else played the game, or are all AVSIM'ers just die hard wannabe pilots?

I played a bunch of missions. They are very well done and some of them are quite surprising. This is one thing I think developers should focus more, creating new missions, maybe even whole campaings. It's much more fun when there are objectives to pursue.

I believe there are several third party addon missions available. Not really my thing, but I've seen some of the boxed versions. You may also find some in the freeware file section right here on AVSIM.

Anyway, Google would be your friend here.

Sadly, if there is one area FSX outshines anything made by addon devs, it is in the mission area. It takes some very talented people to get a good script and dialog together. I've tried many, but sadly very few are any good.

You know... just a thought here.

Not sure if you do/have (if so then please forgive me0, but have you considered flying commercial IFR on VATSIM? Now THAT can not only be a LOT of fun, but very rewarding and even exciting from time to time. Flying an high end third party airliner, especially with another knowledgable pilot in Shared Cockpit on VATSIM (especially during an event) really is the ultimate experience!!!

I did fly online for many years in FS2004 with the Level-D 767, but I haven't got the time anymore. For realism I prefer GA aircraft that are rated for single pilot operation, but we're moving off topic. This post was about having fun with missions and to get some feedback on how AVSIM'ers relate to them.

I never ever played those missions. After playing Flight for a while I wondered why not... But now I simply won't play them anymore because you are limited to default planes. If I could do some missions with my Real Air Legacy, I think I would give it a try!

You can change the airplane in the mission to what you want...do a search in the pmdg 737 forum the solution is posted there.

Kind regards
