Classic Aircraft Simulations Piper J-3... A jewell ?
It’s fantastic! A true jewel, and incidentally currently on sale in the Marketplace for around $12, I think. Very, very well worth it!

Where's my C172 with analog gauges?
If you select the 172 in the aircraft selector and then choose to "Configure" it (bottom left), you go to a specific screen where you can choose the variant that you want, livery, etc.

Is Premium Deluxe for 2024 worth it if I own it for 2020?
Hi folks! I'm Vasco from MSFSAddons.com. That bit of information about the possibility of buying individual "premium" aircraft was shared by Jörg during an interview at the Global Preview Event. Somehow I missed it during the interview as my thoughts drifted somewhere else in that particular moment, but listening to the recording back at home, it's clearly there. Should have been paying more attention to get further details on that, sorry!

Sim ended normally - Steam says "Stopping"
You may also have supporting apps to MSFS that are preventing the sim from shutting down properly. Make sure to also shut down every app that connects to MSFS after closing the sim, like Navigraph, BeyondATC/SayIntentions, FSRealistic, and whatnot.

Anyone get this effect ? FTXGlobal + Rex + approaching innsbruck
I think this is related with the "realistic haze layer" in REX configuration

Anyone ever seen any animals in FSX?
Funny indeed! It happens in the Longview Ranch scenery from ORBX.

Anyone ever seen any animals in FSX?
I find plenty of animals in Orbx scenery, from birds to cows... I once had to go-around because there were a bunch of cows in a runway.

No Love For Default Aircraft?
I would say the default Maule is payware quality. Very, very good.

Crosswind landing, what am I doing wrong? (vid)
I agree that maybe the conditions you are simulating are too much for the Otter. Still, in a heavy crosswind with a small plane like that, you should touch down first with the upwind wheel. In this case, the left. It should help in preventing the wind from blowing you out of the centerline.

how to make long flights more exciting?
Many good suggestions. Now notice how many cool things you can while your NGX cruises at FL350. Now think about what the real world pilots do... Yeah, pretty much nothing. Absolute, complete boredom. That's why I prefer general aviation.

Needs to know about active sky
Just install it and you're ready to go. It's a superb product that works perfectly without any additional tweaks. Get the 2012 edition. I guess they are working on a 2013 version, but so far there's nothing. We'll see...

Are clouds like this possible in FSX ?
I use OpusFSX and it gives me an overcast that looks pretty much the same. I've seen both REX and Active Sky doing the same. So yes, FSX can give you clouds like that.

Insane 777 Wingflex
My god that is a pretty picture. Look at those engines smoking a pipe!

Flight replicas Super cub?
I have the Flight Replicas Super Cub and, while still being a Cub, it's obviously very different from the A2A J-3. There are several different versions with different engines, I think one of them has a 210hp engine that can climb at 4000 ft/m or something. They fly well, but I dislike the excessive life the plane seems to get when flaps are lowered. I don't know if this is realistic compared to the real word super cub, but I don't like it either way. Other than that, it seems good to me and it's my first choice for bush flying.

AHHHH why is d3d9.dll causing crashes on everything
Could you give a link? I tried several versions and all led to crashes. A proper one would be fantastic!

What is this effect?
That's the Carenado King Air. It looks as good as you are seeing in the pictures.

L-39 over the mountains
It's really a stunning aircraft. It introduced a number of innovations like ground illuminating lights. And since it's a training aircraft, the back seat's cockpit is a madman's wet dream, with a bunch of switches that disable aircraft system's, causing nightmares to the student pilot in the front. ahah

L-39 over the mountains
Yes indeed, I usually get stunning skies with AS2012. I specially like the first picture, with the hazy mountains and the progressively reduced visibility.

L-39 over the mountains
Hi guys. This is my first time sharing screenshots. I bring you two from a few days ago, somewhere over the Northern Rocky Mountains. Scenery is from ORBX, with weather from Active Sky 2012 and flying the fantastic Lotus Sim L-39C Albatros.

Where is the NAV1 radio?
Hi Pete. Fortunately there is a small PDF describing the GNS530 buttons and I figured it out immediately. But thanks I have to say, the Skymaster is an incredible airplane and a very nice improvement over that C152 I usually fly and, specially, my lovely Cub. Brilliant job Carenado!

Alternates for PDFKneeboard
I'm also very interested in this sort of thing. A way to display charts inside FSX, without having to run the sim in wondowed mode. I tried PDFKneeboard and at first it looked great, but then I noticed that, altough FSX seemes to be running full screen, I was actually getting the slower performance and the lack of vsync that windowed mode brings. Bummer.

Where is the NAV1 radio?
Thanks Joe. I was just considering that possibility. I hadn't even tried turning the thing on. Indeed, facepalm. hehe  Thank you!

Where is the NAV1 radio?
Hello guys, I just bought this beauty after reading wonderful things about it. It is indeed a spectacular aircraft and already one of my favorites, together with the RealAir Turbine Duke. I'm having a tiny problem which is certainly going to cause me a facepalm once I sort it out. The thing is, I can't seem to find where the NAV1 radio is. I've been using the NAV2, which is the right Collins radio. Here's a picture of the cockpit. I'm still learning my way around the cockpit and the lack of a user guide doesn't help. Thanks for the help!
