November 14, 201213 yr Author Well the download downloaded it's now installed and working phew! But before I installed it I did have to figure out what I had done wrong... When I started this yesterday I made sure I had the correct version of essentials which for me was v3.0.2012.0522 and downloaded the correct version from the Rex site. When the install runs it finds the essentials directory which you would assume was the correct one so I let the install continue. As this didn't give me the textures I uninstalled and manually pointed it tot the essentials dir as you would and if course we know this doesn't work. I then uninstalled and pointed it one last time at the overdrive folder and this time it worked. Why it didn't the first time is beyond me but I'm guessing that some bytes went AWOL I still have the full version I downloaded this morning which is now in my backup drive for future use if required. This has all left a bad taste, as I still maintain that the Devs should have added some basic checks to the installer. Instead they have posted instructions on the web site which I DID goto yesterday but didn't find and then when I clicked to search further the site was uncontainable for me. This really all could have been avoided and is a schoolboy error by whoever wrote the installer. In the meantime thank you Rex for getting the plus version out and so far the results look very positive.

Not to make excuses, but there are several things we have going against us when creating an install. 1.) We cannot put the normal search function in the installer for REX, because of possible network situations. That is huge for us. 2.) We cannot use normal patching software, because the patches are too large. 3.) Because the patches are so large they are extremely difficult to get to the public. 4.) Because of the different versions of REX on the market we had to build 6 different patches. Again an huge motherload to manage. In that case if you will contact me directly at: [email protected], and provide a link to this post, I can help you our directly. It clarifies the issue perfectly. For me it was worth all the watching of the progress bar and frustration, as the new version does what it says on the tin. It is now is a worthy contender for a gold prize.

October 3, 201411 yr I wonder if somebody can help. Having my essentials + OD for some months now there is no change within the download section. The updates are always the same. I've also run the updater only to see that "Im up to date". Does this mean that there are, in fact no updates release for Rex essentials ? Thanks
