November 14, 201213 yr Try this: http://#####...hardware-guide/ You have a low end system that won't run FSX "full-up". You will also need the /3GB switch on a 32 bit Windows OS. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff556232.aspxhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff556232.aspx Dave
November 14, 201213 yr The CPU has much more impact on performance than you graphics card. It would be a waste of money to buy a new one for your current computer. The NGX is one of the most complex and demaning addons for FSX, so you will not be able to run with very high settings unless you get a new computer. That said, you can have much fun with what you have, as long as you can live with medium settings. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 15, 201213 yr Should I try with win 7 64bit and buy a better Graphic card? I would say, before you part with any cash, sit back and spend some time here reading. There is a LOT to absorb that will save you asking the same repetitive questions that have been asked soooo many times here already. This will save you and others a lot of frustration, money and those head in your hands moments... Read over the. Hardware section, as this has been asked god knows how many times... Richard... November 15, 201213 yr Author Thank you all for your answers! I know I will have to buy a new computer, it's just that I want to get the moast out of the one I have now. C
November 15, 201213 yr Then save your money and do just that. I had lots of fun with FSX on my previous computer, powered by an AMD Athlon 2200+ until a year ago. Just turn down some of the gfx settings and you'll do fine, but don't expect it to run super detailed scenery and aircraft with lots of eye candy enabled.
