November 17, 201213 yr Hey all, I have every addon aircraft for FSX I could possibly need. I do have room for 1 more and have the final contenders reduced to a total of 5 that meet my criteria. Please help with opinions and advise on these aircraft. There are some old classics here and the new DC-9. The 5 finalists, in no particular order, are: LEONARDO MADDOG MD-81 FlightSimLabs CONCORDE X CAPTAIN SIM 777 (although still in dev.) Flight1 ATR 72-500 Coolsky Classic DC-9 Which would you select and why? Thanks!!! Which would you pick and why?
November 18, 201213 yr While I think FSX is still in need of a good Turboprop liner for regional flights, I do not recommend the ATR, because it's dated (especially the visual model) and could really use new version. The Concorde looks really great, but I have not yet flown her, since flying it requires a lot of reading, and I couldn't afford that much time up to now. I don't really want to comment on the others, as I don't have them, but I don't really like the way CS sell their unfinished products, so I'd wait either until the T7 is completely done, or for the release of the PMDG one. Regards, Flo Florian
November 18, 201213 yr I think the Captain Sim 777 was the one where Hiroshi from SkySpirit found over twenty things wrong with it, including, but not limited to landing gear not functioning like the real thing, flaperons not functioning like the real thing (or even existing, for that matter, they just look like regular ailerons), and spoilers all at the same angle among a bunch of other things. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
November 18, 201213 yr Of those my first choice would be the ATR, My reason is because I have been flying a lot of FTX New Zealand and Australia, so plenty of ATR Routes as it is used by Air New Zealand and Virgin in Australia... Second choice the MD-81, I would fly a lot of American Airline routes with that one. Third choice would be DC-9 Not a fan of the Concorde (in flight sim anyways) as I prefer lower and slower aircraft routes with shorter distances. I would wait for CS to iron out bugs with that 777, or just wait for the PMDG version (kind of like waiting for the cows to come home actually  ) Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
