Problem Downloading New Livery

Featured Replies

I have just installed PMDG 737 and am trying to add the British Airways livery.

I have found the livery and have downloaded and in my download file I have the following;

PMDG_737ngx_80WL_BA

However when I click on the PTP File I receive an errorfile stating that the archive is either in unknown format or damaged.

Could anyone help me please.

In addition in FSX the inside of the aircraft looks fine but when I go to the outside views I only see bits of the aircraft-just mainly the wings-very strange.

Again any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

To install the livery, you have to use the livery manager that is supplied with the NGX. If you don't know where it is just search "Livery Manager" in the windows start menu. Make sure to run as administrator if you are using Windows Vista/7. Than, click on add livery, and locate your .ptp file, and click open. Then your livery should be installed.

Hi Arzaan,

Many thanks for your reply.

Yes,I have now found the "Livery Manager" and have downloaded the British Airways livery into my FSX folder which shows up within FSX.

My only real problem now is in respect of the outside view of the aircraft and all I see is 2 wings and the PMDG sign above-just cannot work out what the problem is-the inside view of the aircraft is fine.

Further help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help so far.

Michael Broom

Do you use EZCA or something? It almost sounds like you are not really using proper outside view - instead you just move "outside" while still in VC view...
