November 23, 201213 yr AMD chips don't have the IPC needed to run FSX smoothly. Well ATI cards work pretty well with FSX after applying the shadermod for the clouds. But Nvidia cards are perfect for FSX. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

November 25, 201213 yr Sorry you are having a bad experience with your rig. But...a little research would have shown that Intel ivy or sandy bridge with Nvidia GTX 580 or higher is the best FSX solution. Perhaps you can squeeze in another upgrade in the future. --Don Don Polidori
November 25, 201213 yr Commercial Member Food for thought - My new IB 3770K build does way better with FSX (at stock speeds) than my old SB 2600 build @ 5.1ghz. Absolutely incredible actually when you come to think of it. Of course it has a 680GTX as opposed to a 580GTX but that is just icing on the cake.
