Featured Replies

Looking for another Gold Dredge. Good Luck and enjoy.

And also, for those that celebrate the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you.

Another day another dredge. Left Chicken, landed at the gold dredge. took off again and headed east to Boundary air field. There is nothing there but a wind sock. Looks like it was never finished. Wonder if I might try to head further east to Dawson in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Should not be that far if I don't run off the map first.

This was another strange one. Jack Wade, the village, town, community, hamlet, or whatever it is considered to be, is rather distant from Chicken, the hamlet, etc. So, why was this dredge called Jack Wade?

I can confirm Steve's comments, Boundary is just a runway and gravel apron:

But, Dawson City is even less than that. The altitude mesh is degraded, as is the land class. There are no Hydro Polygons (water bodies) and the airport has no runway or apron. It is at the bottom of a valley, though, and I confirmed that in the Google images.

It sure gets dark early in Alaska at this time of year. It was barely 2:00 P.M. at the time of my flight.

Best regards.
