November 25, 201213 yr Bryan, I just hopped into the PMDG J41 after quite some time. I've spent nearly all my time this past year with the PMDG NGX, and found going back to the J41 with different voice commands very challenging. I know each aircraft is going to have some differences, and that's to be expected, but will there be an attempt to standardize common commands moving forward so that the user can quickly adapt to new aircraft? I'm referring primarily to the "select" and "set" commands from the NGX, would they be the same in the T7? I'm afraid my brain doesn't change gears well when switching between aircraft, and I try to avoid using cheat sheets as that takes away from the immersion. Curt Branch
November 25, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Curt, The 777 will be very similar to the 737 NGX version to a large degree only because Boeing is standardizing their SOPs across the fleet as much as possible. The Jetstream, however, is a totally different animal from the Boeings. What you're seeing in the Jetstram is actually the SOPs from Robert Randazzo's old airline. RSR was actually used as the "original source" for much of the J41's commands/procedures. At FS2Crew, fidelity to SOPs comes before standardization with regards to voice commands. Best, B. November 26, 201213 yr Author Glad to hear that Boeing is standardizing their SOP's, so that should be an easy transition to the 777. Curt Branch
