November 28, 201213 yr Gentlemen, Just installed the 337. Suprised at the lack of documentation. I have a problem setting the Heading, Squawk, engine on/off switch. I get the hand symbol but NO PLUS SIGN inside the hand. The knobs will not turn! I noted that in order to set the vor (ILS) and COMM frequencies in the GPS quadrant I need to enlarge the GPS (Shift+1) is this correct? Without enlarging the GPS quadrant I cannot set the vor etc. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sim but still have a problem with setting the HDG etc. Is there anything that needs to be done (such as with the GPS), to be able to make these knobs operative? Thanks. Stanner
November 28, 201213 yr Author Bert, When I place the cursor over the HDG knob, it turns into a white hand. I then turned the mouse wheel and nothing happened. However, I noted that when I turn the mouse wheel, regardless of where the mouse cursor is pointing, the TRIM WHEEL is turned. I tried other switches such as the engine start/off switch and the course arrow, and none would turn using the above technique. Only the trim wheel turned when I turned the mouse wheel. Stanner PS I have reinstalled the plane 3 times with the same results.

If you disable that setting, it should work.. Bert
November 28, 201213 yr Author Thanks. Found that FSUIPC had checked on "mouse wheel operates trim". I disabeled this and now those knobs and switches operate using the mouse wheel. Did note that in order to set the first 3 digits on Garmin COM and VOR frequencies I must do it while the Garmin GPS quadrant is in regular default sizw. HOWEVER, in order to set the last 3 digits I can do this only when GPS quadrant is ENLARGED (Shift +1). Also noted that the COM FREQUENCY set in the GARMIN quadrant DOES NOT CHANGE the COM frequeny in the COLLINS COM, and avise versa. Which of these two COM FREQUENCY settings does the radio use? Thank you again for your help. I was ready to throw this aircraft into the scrap heap! I do think Carenado should make note of this 'MOUSE WHEEL" potential problem in their documentation to users. It would save users countless hours of hit and miss attempts to fix the problem. Stanner

November 29, 201213 yr Did note that in order to set the first 3 digits on Garmin COM and VOR frequencies I must do it while the Garmin GPS quadrant is in regular default sizw. HOWEVER, in order to set the last 3 digits I can do this only when GPS quadrant is ENLARGED (Shift +1). I usually use setting com frequencies via other means (mostly via M-Panel), but I just verified that both views of the Garmin work. Turning the mouse wheel on the inner ring selects fract and on the outer selects whole. This is earier in the VC view due to tool tips and larger click areas, in the enlarged view you need more precision and some guessing.
November 29, 201213 yr Or, even better, add a Reality XP GNS 530 to the airplane. You get a much better gauge and no more pesky click zone issues.. Bert
