November 30, 201213 yr I have been reading alot in this forum about everyones experiences. I downloaded the demo and tried it. It runs super cool on my computer. The only draw back for me is that I use the mouse to fly. That is just the way I prefer it. I use the mouse and keyboard in fsx also. When using the mouse in X Plane it is way way to sensitive for me. I am used to the sensitivity in FSX. I would buy this if it were not for that. I saw no way of adjusting the mouse sensitivity in the menu settings. That is the only draw back for me. As time goes by it will get better as far as scenery, ect. It does run so much smoother than FSX. I am no done flying til you pry the joystick out of my cold dead hands
November 30, 201213 yr Flying with the mouse is actually possible, abd sometimes even better than with a joystick in X-plane10... I'll check if you can in some way adjust the mouse sensitivity... I use it very often, specially when there is no need for cross-control input, like under crosswind landings... It's a good way to forget about the overdone torque effect from prop aircraft :-) Oh... helicpters can't go with just mouse input either :-( and, I believe there is no way to set keys for rudder input when a controller is not connected to your system. I also loved using the mouse only to control MS FLIGHT, It is far better/easier than in either FSX or X-Plane, very well designed interface in MS FLIGHT - a genius designed/programmed it, I am sure :-))) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 1, 201213 yr Author Thanks friend. If there is a way to adjust the mouse sensitivity that would be awsome I am no done flying til you pry the joystick out of my cold dead hands
December 1, 201213 yr I suppose a work around would be to go into planemaker and adjust the plane's flight model to make it more sluggish ... or you could email the developers about it (they do listen to people's suggestions).
December 1, 201213 yr Thanks friend. If there is a way to adjust the mouse sensitivity that would be awsome Go to the "Settings"->"Joystick and equipment" screen, "Center" tab, and drag all the six sliders (the three "control response" and the three "stability augmentation") to far right. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 1, 201213 yr Author I did go to settings and dragged all the sliders to the far right but it didn''t make any difference as far as using the mouse is concerned, but hey maybe it's the way it runs on my machine. I am no done flying til you pry the joystick out of my cold dead hands
December 1, 201213 yr And... you have to get adapted to the higher sensitibility of the command inputs from MSFS to X-Plane... It's a question of time... The only thing I regreted not having in X-Plane10 was the possibility to control the rudder using keyboard when in mouse control mode. Under such mode you allways get auto-rudder, which is really not good thing...
