  1. I did go to settings and dragged all the sliders to the far right but it didn''t make any difference as far as using the mouse is concerned, but hey maybe it's the way it runs on my machine.
  2. Thanks friend. If there is a way to adjust the mouse sensitivity that would be awsome
  3. I have been reading alot in this forum about everyones experiences. I downloaded the demo and tried it. It runs super cool on my computer. The only draw back for me is that I use the mouse to fly. That is just the way I prefer it. I use the mouse and keyboard in fsx also. When using the mouse in X Plane it is way way to sensitive for me. I am used to the sensitivity in FSX. I would buy this if it were not for that. I saw no way of adjusting the mouse sensitivity in the menu settings. That is the only draw back for me. As time goes by it will get better as far as scenery, ect. It does run so much smoother than FSX.
  4. This morning i took a flight from Liesure Land Airpark to Quiliquote and it almost brought tears to my eyes using the orbyx scenery. This is the way it is supposed to be. Soooo vivid and smooth. If we can ever port over GEX and Ultimate Terrain and Rex it will be heaven. The only thing I don't like is my desktop tool bar on the bottom when i am in full screen mode. Other than that I love it. Prepar3D is the future.
  5. I have deleted fsx from my computer and installed Prepar3D. FSX support for Prepar3D is not working. It keeps saying I have FSX installed. There is nothing left on my computer that has to do with FSX including the registry. Save your money.
  6. I had it working in vista just fine but can't get it to work in windows 7.
  7. I think i know what the problem is I have the first version of GEX and when i went to their site i found out there are two more updates for it. While reading their forums there is an issue with Washington that has been resolved with the two updates, including the airports and water elevations. Dummy me for not checking in the first place. I have no other addons except for GEX and Ultimate Terrain,REX and some payware aircraft. The reason my mesh is so high [ per Nick's setup] is that i bought a Alenware computer and it runs everything in high def easily. Thanks for all the help That is why I love this site best. Any one that might have a solution takes the time to help. I am not really up on elevations, terrain mesh and some of the more technical things in fsx, so forgive me if i don't explain things clear enough. When the updates are finished downloading and I install in the proper order I have a feeling that will cure the problem. Thanks again everyone.
  8. Thanks for your help everyone. I will try all your suggestions.
  9. Did some further testing. Turned off Ultimate Terrain but that did not help. Looked in my library and saw no duplicate afcad files. It is looking like I will have to reinstall
  10. The airport is KGEG in Spokane Washington My mesh setting is 10m. I think it happened when i Installed Ultimate Terrain X. I have not installed any special scenery it is all default.
  11. not sure what you mean about duplicate meshes
  12. Hey every one. I have been searching and can't find anything related to my problem. I am attaching a picture of that prob lem. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I have REX, UT, and GEX installed, Maybe I did something wrong.
  13. I installed them with no problem, Don't really see any difference in the graphics
  14. I bought it this morning and everything works fine on my single core computer. Very easy on frame rates. Well done Carenado.
  15. I just installed a new graphics card and when I run fsx the graphics section still shows my old card. My question is does it matter or is there a way to change it other than reinstalling fsx. Thanks for the help.
  16. Here are my computer specs if anyone is intrested
  17. I am using a compaq preario sr2264wm AMD 64 athlon. Would like to upgrade the cpu someday if I could ever figure out what cpu would be compatible with the rest of my computer
  18. After two years of tweaking and following the advice of the experts here in the forum I am finally enjoying my fsx experience. It was a lot of trial and error. I have a computer that was bought off the shelf at walmart. Like so many others I expected the experience to be awesome right out of the box. Well we know how that goes. One of the first things I learned in the forums was you need to upgrade your video card. To make a long story short, after setting up fsx per nick can't emphasize that enough things started to look up. After that it was a matter of patience and trial and error. Some things worked and somethings did not. I did double my power supply and that was one of the kicks in the pants that my sim needed. I am running my fsx with scenery complexity extremely dense, autogen density very dense. Mesh complexity 100, Mesh rez 5m, texture rez 15cm, water effects low2x, special effects medium. I am using texture max editor and running texture resolutions at 2048HD. I have UTX GEX, and REX. Also using Enhancer set up per nick. Just trying to point out that it is not hopeless and it can be done. As so many have said each computer is different. But the biggest help has been all the advice and information that has been given by fellow simmers in this forum. And I thank them for making my fsx experience really awesome. You guys rock. :(
  19. I fly exclusively with the 2d panel as I like an unobstructed view of the scenery, but then again I am not into a lot of the realisim that most are. However I do like flying the reaair scout in vc once in awhile. So I would have to say I would be more willing to buy payware if it had both options.
  20. Hey everyone: After endless searches on the web trying to find information on upgrading my cpu with no answers I have come here to ask the help of those who are much more knowledgeable than I have. Here are my system specs. Compaq Presario SR2264WMAMD Athlon 64 processor 3800+ 2.4 Ghz4 .00 GB32 bit operating system windows vistaI have upgraded the video card to a 8600 GT and as you can see I added 2 more gigs of memory from the original 2. Upgraded the power supply from 300 watts to 630 watts. But for the life of me I can not find any information on a compatible upgrade for the cpu for this machine. If anyone can help me upgrade this cpu for this machine i would be eternaly grateful to them. If you need more info please let me know. Thanks much for any and all helpWarren
  21. Buy it you can't go wrong with this one
  22. Hey everybody! If you have not visited fsx live yet it is worth visiting. It is based in Ireland. They are just getting started and so far it is pretty cool. You can even listen to One Sky Radio while you are visiting the site and forum. They would appreciate any ideas you might have and any experience you can give them. It's worth the visit.
  23. I had to use the enchancer beta also for the 190 drivers and it works perfectly in my system. Good luck
  24. Hey everyone. Does anyone know why the Quest Kodiak is unavailable for purchase. I can not get it with the flight 1 wrapper. The homepage for aircraft says it is temporarily unavailable. Any one know why. I would really like to purchase this one.
  25. Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows where a person can get a payware Caravan. Can't seem to find one. Thanks for the help.Warren
