December 5, 201213 yr Have ADE9X, in both my Flight Simulators. I have got several Afcads made with AFX, is it possible to alter these with ADE. Also do you always have to keep the original names of the ADE9X & AFX when compiling the Afcads in order not to mess up things. With ADE you have the option to put your "name" as a suffix in the Blg, i.e. ADEX_KLAX_ XXX.Bgl These files go to my Add-On scenery folder. Any advice appreciated.
December 5, 201213 yr Yes, there is no problem changing AFX files with ADE. The reverse is also true depending on what features were used with ADE. John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
December 5, 201213 yr If you go from AFX to ADE, make sure you load the stock approach data (or create new approach data) or ATC and the GPS will not recognize ILS approaches. December 5, 201213 yr Author Thanks guy's for your advice. I am not an expert with FS, I use the flight planner to fly "manually" to get from A to B, then to try and land on the runway. Jeff wrote "If you go from AFX to ADE, make sure you load the stock approach data (or create new approach data) or ATC and the GPS will not recognize ILS approaches. I do not know how to do this, will my AI traffic be affected if I do not do this. Also is this for both FS9 & FSX. I just want to change gate sizes or airline codes in the Afcad nothing else. Also with the new Afcad should I use the ADE path . I will make a copy of the original Afcad, if I have issues can I just put back the original or is a scenery re-install necessary. Once again thanks.
