I personally havent had any problems with it. I noticed a slight increase in my fps but that may just be because of a clean install of the os.

I've found performance to be great running Windows 8 64bit.

Do anybody have sporadic "fatal errors" running FSX with Windows 8 x64, especially using menu (ALT command) in full screen mode? I'm experiencing this trouble.

No-one yet has owned up,and there's no fixes yet, so stay with Windows 7 for the moment.

Been running it for a few weeks with no issue except for one CTD...and that was because I didn't install the UIAutomationcore.dll fix.

I should post a W8 Tips sheet... It took a while, but FSX is working great on Windows 8, with all kinds of extras running... One key: DO NOT install in the default directory. I have a second, SSD drive that I have it running from, which solved many of the issues. A few keys: Before installing anything, make sure the *.exe is "Unlocked" and running win7 compat and as admin. DO the uiautomation.dll fix (in the FSX root directory), and disable UAC if you know you are not going to do something that puts your system at risk. Good Luck!
