December 11, 201213 yr I personally havent had any problems with it. I noticed a slight increase in my fps but that may just be because of a clean install of the os. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

December 13, 201213 yr Do anybody have sporadic "fatal errors" running FSX with Windows 8 x64, especially using menu (ALT command) in full screen mode? I'm experiencing this trouble. December 13, 201213 yr Mostly issues with the disapearing hardware controllers. No-one yet has owned up,and there's no fixes yet, so stay with Windows 7 for the moment. December 15, 201213 yr Win 8 here working fine with FSX, Have spent the last few evenings working on Prepar3d in Win8. Have GEX, UTX, REXe+Overdrive and FacetrackIR working well in Prepar3d on Win 8. It really looks great! If you have to be a bear ... be a grizzly.

December 17, 201213 yr I should post a W8 Tips sheet... It took a while, but FSX is working great on Windows 8, with all kinds of extras running... One key: DO NOT install in the default directory. I have a second, SSD drive that I have it running from, which solved many of the issues. A few keys: Before installing anything, make sure the *.exe is "Unlocked" and running win7 compat and as admin. DO the uiautomation.dll fix (in the FSX root directory), and disable UAC if you know you are not going to do something that puts your system at risk. Good Luck! Brad Johnson, ASEL, Instrument Rated.
