parking break

Featured Replies

I use ch pedals, but when I set the brake it just keeps poping out so I have to lay my heals on the brakes while at the gate....any help

1. Did you check the reverse box for the brake pedal axis?

2. Calibrate. Could be control spiking that disengages the p-brake.

Check your brake pressure as well. This caused my N1 to overspeed (so to speak :-) ) a few days ago. I could not set the parking brakes. It would flash ON then disappear again. Finally saw the light and turned on the Electric Hydraulic pumps to charge the system and voila. Brakes Set.

I had that and other similar problems with the CG pedals. What I found is the potentiometers come slightly out of their cradles. This makes it so the brakes won't fully disengage so tiny movements of the pedals cause brake input. You can take to foot pads off and reseat them but through normal use they will come out again. Because of this and some other problems I switched to Saitek pedals and have had much more success.

I just adjusted the gearing attached to the potentiometers "one notch" and have not had a problem since.

I cant seem to find the reverse box....Dan Thompson

I re-calibrated my CH pedals after putting one old CD-cover under each brake pedal, that completely eliminated the problem for me

Kind regards
