August 1, 200421 yr I have noticed that on some aircraft, when trying to get into the passenger cabin in VC mode, I find myself in the open air with no cabin textures visible. When viewing the same aircraft in SPOT view however, zooming right in will reveal the detailed passenger cabin. Is there anything I can "tweak" in aircraft or panel config files which will allow me to move back in VC mode into a visible passenger cabin?Without additional software if possible.:-)A good example of this is the excellent freeware Nord Aviation 262 which was recently released. August 1, 200421 yr Likely the case that there is no virtual cabin then all your seeing is the plane model itself. There is a situation where this is not the case. For example with PIC A320. If you simply walk through the door then you'll get the open air. However, if you open the door then you'll get into the virtual cabin.
August 1, 200421 yr Thanks Len.Hm, would be interesting to know what is triggered by opening the door to enable the cabin view. John
August 1, 200421 yr Say there is a VC cabin, like the Aeroworx B200. I can only go halfway the length of the cabin. Is there any config file I can tweak without needing to use active camera?
August 2, 200421 yr Maybe the same code that displays the closed door branches past the code that displays the cabin, so all the added polygons don't drag the frame rate down.
September 25, 200421 yr What exactly is the command to open the door. I am reading the Active Camera manual and I do not see a command to open the cockpit door to "walk" into the cabin. Thanks,
September 25, 200421 yr >What exactly is the command to open the door. I am reading>the Active Camera manual and I do not see a command to open>the cockpit door to "walk" into the cabin. Thanks,it depends on the aircraft, for example the PMDG B1900 uses the concorde nose command (if i remember correctly).
September 25, 200421 yr Basically you have 2 models included in the MDL, the VC and the main model, if the VC is not modelled you will not see a cabin which is why you see the detailed one in exterior view and the non existing one in VC mode. As far as cabins and cockpits go, you can just clone or copy the exerior cabin and use the copy for the VC if you are the designer, pretty simple.I for one love VC cabins, and hate having to open animations with a key, love the Aeroworx B200, where you click on the door and it opens, would love a first person view where you see your hand manipulating objects and controls, maybe FS2020.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/PBTMCa.jpgCalVirAir International VACalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
