The First iditarod Aerocache is out...and i think they made a mistake.

Finding the Aerocache in Anchorage and starting in Nome? I`m a fan of longer journeys to find an Aerocache, but that is a bit too muche even for me.

Just want to make sure you know you do not have to fly the entire distance. Just start the "AOD" activity. Select - Start in the air. Press ESC and exit free flight. Move the plan to distination and hover cursor over free flight and select fly.

You just need to click "M" for map. Move your aircraft to where you want and click "M" again. That is a very long flight other wise!

There's no way I was going to fly all the way from Nome, nor did I have the time. Instead, I took off from Merrill, flew to Anchorage, collected the cache, and then landed.

I do like the idea of longer flights, but not in the multiple hundred mile range with the aircraft we have. I personally just don't have the time to make such long flights.

Thank you.
