ORBX NZMF Milford Sound Airport Released

Featured Replies

I'd like to hear some comments on that scenery, too. Judging from the screenshots it looks really great, but since I'd have to buy NZ too, that would be quite a large amount of money to be spent, and I don't want to waste it. Being an ORBX product that's not very likely, but still...

I got this early today and it is brilliant. The best deal is that there are 3 airfields, the other two being difficult strips hidden amongst trees. T004 Quintin Lodge is a real challenge, as it appears out of nowhere and it's a steep descent to get down. NZMJ, the second included strip is stunning, and the area is extremely scenic and well done. I've done 2 flights so far from T004 to NZMJ and back again, stopping at Milford Sound along the way.

The detail along the route is stunning, there are waterfalls, forests, bays, beaches, dolphins, boats and even butterflies. It also has all the usual ORBX tech, like PeopleFlow, DogFlow, etc...

The scenery doesn't perform too great on my machine. It seems to run far faster during sunrise or sunset, so I'm not sure what would be causing the slow down during the day. I've tuned down the peopleflow, natureflow, etc. But it gets a bit jiddery around Milford Sound.

However, this hasl become a new classic for me now, along with Darrington and Concrete in the PNW. I recommend you give it a go if you have any cash left over after Christmas :-). Very much recommended
