January 5, 201313 yr Author Did not get a memory dump, however while flying a bit I got a popup that FS9 had to close and is looking for a solution to resolve..I checked event viewer to see the error and this is it Faulting application name: fs9.exe, version: 9.1.0.40901, time stamp: 0x4135a208 Faulting module name: TERRAIN.DLL, version: 9.1.0.40901, time stamp: 0x4135a88e Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0003c963 Faulting process id: 0xa60 Faulting application start time: 0x01cdeae204ff8eba Faulting application path: C:\Simulator\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\fs9.exe Faulting module path: C:\Simulator\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\MODULES\TERRAIN.DLL Report Id: 218aa787-56d6-11e2-898d-4061860768ef Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
January 5, 201313 yr Most likely too high settings or missing textures. The exception code means you had a Memory_Access_Violation. Happens everytime if you have high settings or a missing texture or gauge FS9 is trying to call and it's not there. There is no magic bullet to fix this. I changed my timing to 10 10 10 27 but right from the start it tells me Im low on memory when starting FS9 So is your memory frequency set to 761? It has to with those timings. January 5, 201313 yr Author I need to see where I can adjust the frequency. I'm not too good on the messing with the BIOS settings. Would it be in the same area where the timings are that? Is it under memory ratio? If so there is auto, 3, 4, 5 to choose from. when I choose 3 it choose 800mhz, 4 (1066mhz) and 5 (1333mhz) Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)

January 5, 201313 yr Here is the one I just got when I thought things were finally getting somewhere https://skydrive.liv...205E621C007!123 This is positively a problem with your RAM. You received the Blue screen MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x0000001a BSOD. Chapter 3 of your MSI Manual tells you how to get into your BIOS. When you power up your computer you'll see the message "Press DEL to enter SETUP". Press the Del key and keep hitting it until the BIOS shows (might show right away). Page 2-7 shows you about installing your memory modules into the MB. On the Main Page, click on the Cell Menu. This provides an area where you can make adjustments to your setup. Look at the current DRAM channel 1 timings and make sure it matches one of the four columns in the CPU-Z SPD Page. If it does, then okay. Now check the other 3 modules and make sure they are the same timings. If you want to, you can enable Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) and set your timings the same as those under the X.M.P column on the SPD Page of the CPU-Z. How you change the settings I do not know. It looks like you can click on Advanced DRAM Configuration and that will open a new temp page where you can input the settings you want. Make sure the Adjusted and Current DRAM Frequency is correct (1333 MHz). I personally would try the X.M.P 2000 column settings as shown in Post 10 above. You'll have to change the DRAM Timing Mode from Auto to Manual. On Page 3-22 of your manual, it shows the sub-menu for changing the memory timings. Make the chances, save, and exit the BIOS. Make sure the DRAM voltage setting is set to 1.6 (for XMP) and 1.5 for all other settings. Do not allow this to be set at Auto (I'm not too sure you have the ability to change the voltage; looks like it might be auto depending on your DRAM timings. Very complicated). If you still have problems, then you'll have to go back into the BIOS and change DRAM timing setting from Manual to Auto again. It's strange that your BIOS does not appear to be reading your DRAM correctly. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! January 5, 201313 yr Author One of the issues with power is that Im using an older power supply with this board. Like Ive mentioned, its been working fine for many many months of continuous high graphic and resource playing. Especially Battle Field 3. I have a Antec True Blue PS with 480W and it has the older 4 pins. I still attached them to the board, even though one of the boards pins are 8 pin and the other longer 24 pin is larger than the one my PS has. Could there just be a power issue that is going on too? That has always been in the back of my head too. But the whole memory thing is what is driving me nuts. I appreciate you helping me out with this frustrating issue. Here is my PS, its old and already discontinued on newegg http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817103914 Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
January 5, 201313 yr That's very low and possibly your problem too. I would recommend a power supply no less than 700KW's. I think that's the guideline down in the Hardware Forum too. If you are running SLI or overclocking, it should be closer to 1000KW. PSU's have become more modern though and can handle more than past PSU. A lack of adequate power supply is a major cause of BSOD's. You have a very complicated BIOS too. You might post a question down in the Hardware Forum regarding your memory issue and setting it properly in the BIOS for your MSI MB. You should also post the exact model you have - http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55-GD65.html. Maybe others with this board/BIOS can provide better and more expert advice and assistance.
