FSUIPC button assignments

Featured Replies

Hello all, i know assigning control axes in FSUIPC is a big no-no in the NGX but what about joystick buttons? Will they cause the same problems with flaps and throttles?

Thanks!

Kevin

Kevin, I strongly disaggree with you. I have no problem whatsoever in assigning my Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and Saitek Rudder Pedals to PMDG NGX incl. thrust reverse on the throttle quadrant. I think you did not subscribe to the PMDG NGX training that Angle of Attack is rolling out. They explain how to use FSUIPC.

Have fun!

Thanks for your response, ill have a look at that!

Strange enough i had my control axes assigned via FSUIPC and all worked well before i installed the Aerosoft A320. After that my throttle levers began overriding the autothrottle and the flaps started acting strange, when i selected flaps 5 the plane acted more like it was flaps 40 or even more.

I really hope they can be run through FSUIPC again since the Saitek throttles are notorious for their spiking and not being in sync with each other.

You can have them set up in FSUIPC, only you need to understand you might only get limited support from PMDG in case of any problems.

Axis assignments aren't the problem, it's the calibration that conflicts with the NGX code.

Button assignments are no problem.
