Planes I think I will get this year

Featured Replies

Airplanes I'm anticipating purchasing this year:

-PMDG 747v2, DC-6, and yeah I'm sure I'll get the T7, although for some reason the T7 never really caught my fancy, I know it will be a top notch simulation.

-Coolsky DC-9 (got it before, returned it, but will likely repurchase if Sp is good. What FS collection would be complete without an older jet?)

-Majestic Dash 8

-FlightSimLabs Airbus

-Probably either a RealAir or A2A general aviation plane just because.

I imagine my list is probably similar to most others, but that's what I'm looking forward to, anyway.

After the above, I'm honestly having trouble picturing where I'm going to go with flight simulation, and especially the FSX platform. Hard for me to imagine waiting another 3 or 4 years for the next "batch" of must have airplanes to come out and still be with FSX. I'm hoping, perhaps naively, that sims like P3D and DCS will transition to true multicore, 64 bit. It seems that I just got through my last round of massive hardware upgrades, and I think it would be really great if somebody could make a sim that takes advantage of the horsepower I actually have, instead of having to get the next new thing. My 2 year old machine probably already sucks down more electricity than a washing machine when crunching, so the idea that we are still stuck in the overclock-to-the-nth degree bit is starting to get on my nerves. I don't want to run on that treadmill any longer!

But the washing thingy has better fps!

Seriously, good list of planes. I'm very excited about the Majestic Dash to be honest. If they all arrive in 2013, it would be nice. On the FSX future and your thoughts, I double them. -_-

+1

My list is nearly the same. I'm just not so keen on the 747 and the DC9, but the others are definite purchases for me!

Due to my budget, I will probably only be purchasing the PMDG B777. If I am overwhelmed by the complex automation or seek reverting to the prestige of flying the B747—which is the aircraft I mainly fly as of right now—I might consider purchasing the second version. Of course I would if I had the money.

I'm not so interested in classic aircraft, and I haven't really completed the transition to smaller aircraft (I haven't used the FeelThere ERJ since I purchased it more than one year ago).

I'm not sure whether I want to treat myself to a high-quality Airbus, as I do not want the desire to have a better joystick to arise. Maybe an A330 would win me over, and if I like it, I might stop saving up for a PFC yoke and start saving for a FDS side stick instead!

Got plenty of planes already, its seems more interesting to get good sceneries for them.

But, I´ll follow very keenly An-2 and DC-6 developments and if a proper sale comes by I´ll take QW BAe 146 and Milviz F-86.

If there would be more classics, I would take them all.
