Is this not possible within FSX?

And here ya go:

We are now starting to prepare the Cirrus Cloud upgrade and the User Specified Button/Key Assignments upgrade for the OpusFSI Addon menu options. Then hopefully we will soon be able to make a start on the Weather (Cloud) Smoothing option.

I would advise using the Flight1 opus forum if you'd like more up to date annoucements, plans and overall support.

Hello

Its turning into Active sky with every update, Active sky had all of this years ago, ran into the associated issues and then fixed them all.

Latest AS2012 beta, spot the runway.

It's turning into ActiveSky or ActiveSky is turning into OPUS?

You can enable or disable cirrus clouds manually in the weather dialog at a random height between two configurable levels. We are planning an upgrade which will intelligently generate cirrus clouds.

Thanks, Cheryl. Good to hear.

Yesterday afternoon I went outside and saw cirrus off in the southwest, with no other cirrus in the sky. Ideally you'd want to be able to depict situations like this.
