January 4, 201313 yr I've installed all the demos of VFR Real Scenery and am not impressed. The world looks flat and fuzzy even with recommended settings. Reminds me of the poor aerial view on iOS6 lol!
January 4, 201313 yr Moderator Yep agreed. VFR scenery just does not look good without autogen placed on the top, and even then it can still look odd at low altitudes. VFR France have done a decent job with Normandie and Alsace.
January 4, 201313 yr Commercial Member Not sure about VFR Real Scenery, but all of Aerosoft Photo scenery is just plain awful. Ok, not all, Ibiza and Mallorca are ok. Switzerland X is completely awful (what a waste of money), washed and totally wrong colours, tree colour is wrong also. VFR Germany too, what these guys were thinking of, awful colours, and very low quality textures, you can literally see the compression artifacts below 2000-3000ft! Yes, you can see I'm mad because I wated my money for such a low quality products! *******, is that hard to use Photoshop and edit these textures, add some contrast, tweak the colours...? No comment. Best photo textures I've seen in that resolution (1m/p) you can get via FSEarthTiles and IDEE-Spain service. Incedibly crisp with very good colours. Here is an example: http://forum.avsim.n...a/#entry2541736 And that for 0$. Edit: Oh yes, I'm impressed with France VFR Haute Normandie VFR! Best VFR experience I had with A2A Cub! Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
January 4, 201313 yr Moderator Agree with you completely. Another example is the new areas from MegaSceneryEarth, it looks awful, blocky and FSX default looks better. All the colours are wrong, washed out, patchy. It's not a product they should be selling for that price. I can get better from TileProxy. Annoys me that I wasted money on it.
