January 20, 201313 yr Hello everyone, I need some help over here. Today I bought this wonderfull product and pretty satisfied with it. But I have one (or two) issues, which I need some help with. First, when opening the 'OpusFSI reports' screen within FSX, it seems I can't get any data when selecting Upper or Lower athmosphere weather reports. It just gives me the message 'No data available at present'. I looked on forums, and I enabled 'Grib data' (don't know if this has something to do with it), but the message remains the same. Also, when I try to look at the metar at the destination airport (which I typed in at weather settings) It gives me the message 'No weather available at present'. This message remains untill I'm around 500km from my destination. Is this normal, or should it be available earlier? I hope to get some responce. Niels
January 20, 201313 yr When looking up weather information for a airport you need to be under 300 miles from the airport for the weather information to show. When you enable GRIB download, close OPUS and reopen it and click on the spy window button. You should see the GRIB data being downloaded for the active cycle and converted. Once it is converted you will see the METAR stations within 300 miles of your location being loaded. Going back into FSX you should have lower and upper wind showing.
January 20, 201313 yr You also need to fill in your destination airport and, if you have one, your alternate. January 21, 201313 yr Commercial Member GRIB data is optional and just provides forecast data for upper winds and temperatures if you are a high flyer and gives you an upper and lower atmosphere weather report. The GRIB data takes a few seconds to download, you can monitor its progress in the spy window. It may time out if you have a problem with your internet connection. If you don't have GRIB enabled you can see local, destination and up to 4 alternate weather reports but you must be within (300 miles) 496km of the station to see the report. The weather map is 992km x 992km in size centered about your aircraft so you should be in range within 496km of your destination/alternate. If it is still reporting no weather available then you haven't generated any weather, so open the spy window, update the weather manually (via the add-on menu or weather dialog) and you should see the METARs list being generated in the spy window. If not then check your configuration. Regards Cheryl

January 21, 201313 yr Author Guys, With the info I got from the spy, I searched on google, and I found the solution. After installing I moved the OpusFSX folder into my FSX folder. By moving it back to my original installation directory (in my case G:\) the program was able to decode the GRIB data. Thanks for your help. Now if you excuse me, I have to look at some beautiful weather!
December 18, 201411 yr Same issue here... I transferred my installation to another drive (from C: to D:... same DIR name) and couldn't get GRIB anymore . Re-installed it to the C: drive and got it back. I figure it has something to do with some registry setting, but I've no time to investigate.
December 19, 201411 yr Commercial Member There will be a problem if you have Opus installed on more than one drive, it should only be installed on one drive on your system. Also you should not just copy the files from one drive to another, you should uninstal Opus via Control Panel and reinstalled it again on drive D. Cheryl
