January 24, 201313 yr That is an FSX native model, it will not work in FS9. I do not recall ever seeing one for FS9. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

January 24, 201313 yr This won't help you with FS9, but there's a well modelled Icon A5 included in the free download of Microsoft Flight. You get the big island of Hawaii and a Stearman biplane as well. Plenty of places to fly, good scenery, good lighting, and you can land on the water, taxi up on a beach, get out of the plane and walk around and watch the sunset. I tried the FSX version of the Icon and didn't much like it. You might find other LSA aircraft (Light Sport Amphibians) available for FS9 that are very much like the Icon. For example, there's a SeaRey in http://www.firstclass-simulations.com Discover Arabia that will work in FS9. Look under Flight->Scenery. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 24, 201313 yr If you're thinking about going the Microsoft Flight route, check the forums here. There are some great screen shots. If you post there, you'll get plenty of help. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
January 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member That SeaRey looks pretty cool. Is that the only way it's available, though the Discover Arabia scenery? Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
January 25, 201313 yr That SeaRey looks pretty cool. Is that the only way it's available, though the Discover Arabia scenery? As far as I know, yes. At least the Discover Arabia package isn't too expensive. It's not scenery, it's just a series of saved flights with flight plans and can safely be deleted without fear of losing anything valuable. I'd buy it again to get the SeaRey. The SeaRey has some quirks, but according to an actual SeaRey owner I talked to, they seem to be how the actual aircraft works. For example, it takes considerable opposite aileron in a turn to keep from over-banking. I did some config editing to get rid of that. But it looks good and is a fun airplane to fly in any case.
