Oil drip effect for MAAM-SIM DC-3

Featured Replies

I know there is a forum for MAAM-SIM, but no one monitors it, so I'll ask this question: Where can I get the oil-drip effect file for their DC-3? It is no longer available from their site. Also, does anyone know if a fix was ever found for the DC-3 engine starting problems associated with ATI video cards? I have to set my frames at below 30 fps to get the engines started. This is a well-known problem with ATI cards.

You may have just helped me solve an annoying problem. Every now and then I go to start the engines in the MAAM DC3/R4D and they will not start! Other times they do with no problem. Maybe it is because of different settings for my FPS. Hmm - I will have to experiment with that tonight! Sometime solving a problem in FS9 is almost as addictive as actually flying something.... :lol:

If you use the MAAM B-25 oil drip effect ( above ) these are the co-ordinates for the MAAM DC-3 ......

[sMOKESYSTEM] //Press "I" key twice for 12 seconds dripping

//--index--Y(0.0)----Z-------X----fx_filename

//----------------------------------------

smoke.0= 0.0, 3.3, 8.6, fx_Radial_Oil_Drip

smoke.1= 0.0, 3.3, -8.6, fx_Radial_Oil_Drip
