Five, green light

Featured Replies

Hello,

No matter what, my program will not recognise the phrase "five, green light". When I say it, the program hears "five three nine eight" which is nothing like it!

MS Speech understands it ok - I have even added the individual words and the string into the dictionary manually and in any case, when I say it, MS Speech gets it right every time, even when I don't speak clearly.

For FS2 Crew, I have tried all types of different pronunciations, volumes, accents, you name it but it consistently hears "five three nine eight". So consistently in fact, it makes me suspicious!

The other words it can't handle are "kilograms" and "on", which it hears as armed 70% of the time.

Can anyone help? My priority is to fix the first, main problem.

Very best wishes,

Luke Hall

Try " Flaps 5 Green light " that should work for takeoff check and landing check.

Run the speech recognition training in windows at least 2 times! That is really important in order to make sure Fs2Crew understands the commands that you are giving. Believe me, if you skip that you will get some strange results.....

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply. I can confirm that I've tried both"five, green light" and "flaps five, green light" without any luck. I have also run the speech training in windows 6 times now! It's getting a bit tedious!

In this case I would reinstall it. But let's wait for Bryan to respond. Maybe he knows what's wrong.

Hi Luke,

This is what it's looking for... make sure you don't pause too long between the first part and Green light. Say it as a single sentence.

Also, make sure you have the Green Bar visible so you can see what the speech recognition system is hearing.

Flaps One Green Light

Flaps Five Green Light

Flaps Ten Green Light

Flaps Fifteen Green Light

Flaps Twenty Five Green Light
