January 30, 201313 yr I might be completely wrong about this being a problem, maybe it is the intended behavior, but when I say runway entry procedure, FO seems to be cycling the landing/rwy lights on and off, but keeps them in off position. Is this normal? Shouldn't landing, runway turnoff, and taxi lights all be turned on during takeoff roll? Mehmet Yatan
January 30, 201313 yr Commercial Member This is how it should go... I've highlighted the relevant parts: Before Takeoff Trigger -> Captain announces takeoff clearance has been received with the command: “RUNWAY ENTRY PROCEDURE”. Strobes on. Fixed Landing Lights on. Runway Turnoff Lights on. Taxi Lights off. Center Fuel Pumps off (only if center fuel less than 2300 Kgs). Terrain on (left off to avoid possible performance issues). VSD on if available. Xponder TA/RA. TFC on. Takeoff Trigger -> Captain announces: "TAKEOFF”. Retractable Landing Lights on. Elapsed Time on. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

I think what you're seeing, as I see it too, is when the FO turns on the runway turnoff and fixed landing lights on it comes bright but as the taxi light goes off it dulls off again. After you announce takeoff the FO switches on the retractable lights and it is bright again. It sort of seems like the FO is turning the lights on then off, but isn't. For some reason (for me atleast) the Taxi light on top of the fixed and turnoff lights is very bright, but with the taxi light off it looks like all the light have been shut off in comparison. I'd confirm things by looking at the actual switch positions. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

Cheers, I have, the lights on their own are quite dull until they have another light shine on the top of them then it is quite bright, so when (rwy entry procedure) the fixed landing lights go on it is bright, when the taxi light goes off it is dull until the retractable lights are on when takeoff is called. Not a FS2Crew issue (for me) just some weird lighting. Jay Vorkapic
