February 9, 201313 yr I have been working on fixing this issue and I read many topics about this and I also tweaked my fsx to the best I can with the hardware. FSX is installed on a SSD and VFR sceneries are on 5400rpm HDD. I don't know but maybe this is the cause of the problem but I can't change it cause its a laptop. When going in slow speeds there is no problem but in planes like 737, scenery textures load slow. Here is my fsx.cfg. I experimented with FFTF a lot but making it 0.66 gives me lower FPS so I am using it on 0.25. If there is anything I should change let me know. February 9, 201313 yr This may not be what you want to hear Danny, but unfortunately: Processor too slow (4 GHz needed at least to run well (though I do OK at 3.8) Videocard not strong enough. Video RAM at 512 is marginal (particularlyif using no pools). I also get blurries with photo scenery unless flying at below 250 knots. Sorry, but FSX is very resource hungry. You may be better off with FS9. February 9, 201313 yr on my 2.4ghz laptop with 16gb, 256gb SSD and 3gb GTX 670 I get no blurries. P3D, FSX and xp10 run great. Check your settings and tweaks.

Yeah, but are you using large areas of photoscenery? I get no blurries in default scenery. February 10, 201313 yr I would change Texture_Max_Load from 2048 to 1024 (the default). This could be the sole reason the PMDG textures do not load fast. ForceFullScreenVSync=1 - delete this line or change to 0. TextureMaxLoad=12 Way, way too high for your system. The default is 3. You can set it to 3, 6, 9, 12. Return it to the default of 3. The 12 setting is really putting a ton of resources on your graphics card. WideViewAspect=False Change to True. I believe your monitor is considered widescreen. [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 are you sure you have HT turned off? (in the BIOS) [TERRAIN] AUTOGEN_DENSITY=3 FPS resource killer. Recommend 1. BATCH_AUTOGEN2=1 Default is 0. I would leave it at 0 DETAIL_TEXTURE=1 LOD_RADIUS=4.500000 Okay MESH_COMPLEXITY=100 Okay MESH_RESOLUTION=25 Very high. Play with a lower setting. On my high powered system, mine is 23. SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=2 I would keep this at 10. TEXTURE_RESOLUTION=29 Very high. Play with a lower setting. On my high powered system, mine is 26. You forgot to post your Traffic Manager but here are my recommended settings: [TrafficManager] AirlineDensity=25 GADensity=25 FreewayDensity=10 ShipsAndFerriesDensity=20 LeisureBoatsDensity=0 To get rid of the blurries, you need to turn your settings down so your CPU/GPU can render textures faster. If you have your settings too high, too many tweaks, etc., etc., you will suffer with the blurries. If you have your display driver settings set too high, the same will happen. FSX will have a hard time rendering. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! February 10, 201313 yr I am not sure if HT is active cause its a laptop so there is no BIOS there is a bios, there has to be one. on my laptop I have to press F2 at startup to enter bios.
February 10, 201313 yr Yes, every computer has to have a BIOS. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! February 11, 201313 yr If you have photoscenery, be aware that the FSX resolution settings can have a major effect on appearence of scenery. Henri Henri Arsenault
February 11, 201313 yr Macbook use EFI so its kind of different Most of the modern Intel systems now have UEFI. I have it with my ASUS board. I think the idea might have come from Apple but glad it's here as it's easier to use than just a plain ole' BIOS. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
