February 13, 201313 yr Anyone been using this? I am thinking of monitoring my performance as atm I'm just guessing I'm flying correctly!
February 13, 201313 yr For monitoring your performance it's nice! It shows you where you go wrong in the various phases of flight. According to the rules that Latitude sets, of course. Which might not be everyone's rules. But it gives you a nice insight in how you fly. Just don't expect too much (yet) of the 'multiplayer' part and the community. And also don't focus on your earnings and experience points because they may only frustrate you. ^_^ Use it for what it is: a tool that shows your performance in graphs and numbers. It is a nice though highly overpriced tool. It should have cost something like 15 bucks or so. (I do regret buying it and don't use it anymore, I have to add, but that doesn't mean it's not a nice tool for monitoring your performance.)

You get the monitoring plus the passenger sounds. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
February 13, 201313 yr I've been using latitude for about 7/8 weeks now and i'v got to say i'm really impressed by it. This program is created by a real world pilot. The amount of encuragement i have with it to improve my flights are phenomonen i get better day by day. Makeing revenue from is a bonus it's all about knowing the aircraft you fly weights pax & fuel and balance everything out. all in all one fantastic program. I don't know why people are compairing it to FS passengers as it's nothing like it in the slightest!! latitude is unique program and i enjoy using it for every flight i do. Recommend it to anyone. Regards, Sean

Recommend it to anyone. I guess I'm the people. In all fairness, I don't own either so I can't speak to the similarities or differences...only that I read that FSPassengers does a performance thingy. Can you tell us how they are the same/different? Gregg Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
February 13, 201313 yr Author I think in FSpassengers to get a good score you have to feed them well during the flight. I'm just interested in flying performance for now.
February 13, 201313 yr I think in FSpassengers to get a good score you have to feed them well during the flight. I'm just interested in flying performance for now. LOL. Liquor for everyone! I pulled this from their site... Once the flight starts, every piloting mistake you make will be tracked and stated in a post-flight report: G-force excess, too much bank, rolling outside landing strip, forgetting lights, flaps, seat belts, door opening during flight, excess climb or descent rate, and much more. If your flying technique is really bad, you can hurt your passengers, and in extreme cases you can even hear them scream from the cabin! Speaking of sounds, there are more than 200 sounds that you can hear in flight: co-pilot, hostess, GPWS, ATC chatter, music, sound effects, and many more. February 13, 201313 yr FSPassengers is old and totally unsupported. I wouldn't buy that one. Get Latitude if you want to be monitored/examined or wait for Simair if you want something more like FSPassengers.
February 13, 201313 yr Wait for REX SimAir. Latitude is good but depending on who you are it can also be the most annoying piece of software you've ever used. I do understand that some people like it but personally I quickly realized that I had better things to do with my spare time than to trying to please a virtual examiner in order to end up high on a scoreboard. SimAir seems to have a lot more purpose to it. Rolf Lindbom
February 13, 201313 yr I wouldn't mind having passenger sounds myself. Simming can be pretty devoid of life and it would make it feel more alive. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090

February 13, 201313 yr Thats a shame. It makes no mention of that one their website! There's a fair amount of activity in their forums. Seems to have a conflict with EZDoc, though, which I would not give up. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. February 14, 201313 yr There's a fair amount of activity in their forums. But that doesn't help much if you have a problem or a wish only the developer can work on... ^_^ I think that when SimAir has been released, FSPassengers will slowly leave the podium...
February 14, 201313 yr Passengers is old now and the amount of trouble i have had in the past is not worth it. it kept freezing my fsx. and like some other member said most of the score is based on food/drink and music and video. It's been soo long since i've used it now and i can recall it expects you to do all of that in an hrs flight also don't quote me on that. all fairness it's a nice program but i perfair latitude as it's only based on flying charictoristics which is most importmant if you want to be a better pilot. and i have improved loads on my part with it. as i said in my previous post it's all about knowing your aircraft properly, payload & fuel. I guess I'm the people. In all fairness, I don't own either so I can't speak to the similarities or differences...only that I read that FSPassengers does a performance thingy. Can you tell us how they are the same/different? Gregg Totally agree with you ^_^ But that doesn't help much if you have a problem or a wish only the developer can work on... ^_^ I think that when SimAir has been released, FSPassengers will slowly leave the podium... I use Ezdok and lat has no problems with it being stand alone program and everything. There's a fair amount of activity in their forums. Seems to have a conflict with EZDoc, though, which I would not give up.
