February 13, 201313 yr Another Waipio area waterfall. Sure hope I can remember how to get there. Enjoy. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
February 13, 201313 yr I know this place better than my own neighborhood by now. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
February 14, 201313 yr Author Yep. I didn't have any trouble finding this one. No pics though. I flew the PT-17 this time. I didn't remember how much I don't like that airplane. I just don't like the way it handles. I'll take the RV or CC any day. It's a lot of fun to come in high and hot over a cache and then dive steeply, collect the cache, and pull out just above the deck. That's fun. I know you can do that with the PT-17 too, but I prefer the others. Thank you. February 14, 201313 yr I know this place better than my own neighborhood by now. Good! Next time try it like I did a few minutes ago, inadvertently... I use the Icon to go waterfall hunting, as I just seem able to do things with it that defy normal flying. Start up on runway 4 and ask "Why is it night time?", then figure "what the hey, it's not like I haven't crashed before". Got in the canyon OK, found the AotD OK, saw some land appear out of nowhere a couple of time, but safely made it back to Waimea-Kohala. Good thing Flight doesn't have FSX's aircraft stress causes crash setting! I will check the time of day before making any more waterfall hunts.
