February 14, 201313 yr I have Dino's newest version of his T45C. I am trying to use the TACAN but have no idea how to tune in the frequency. How do I use the TACAN to find the carrier and distance etc? Josh Scholl
February 14, 201313 yr Easiest way to enter is pull-up the radio stack (Shift-2 and enter 111.00 for the FSX carrier). TACAN info is on the HUD... distance will be displayed but you need to be "fairly" aligned with the carrier for the ILS needles to show up.
February 14, 201313 yr Author Will that work for the TP as well? The carrier frequency for that is 108.00 Right now I am trying to figure out the trim situation with the T45. It is all over the place on take off and landing. Very drastic when I move the stick slightly. I use FSUIPC and a Saitek X52. Any suggestions? Josh Scholl
February 15, 201313 yr If "TP" stands for "TacPac", then "no" it will not work. Apparently the ILS for the T-45C is hardcoded into the HUD guage. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
February 15, 201313 yr The Tacan is not modeled corrrectly in FSX. The real Tacan has 126 UHF channels. In FSX you dial in a VHF frequency the same as VOR/ILS. The Tacan does not have a ILS feature. Dave
February 15, 201313 yr dinos t4d doesnt tune the tacan, you need a gauge from rfn and need to edit the config http://royalefrenchnavy.perso.sfr.fr/Creations/Gauge_RFN_CarrierOps.zip
