Scenery Data Base

Thank you Ronzie.

Everything looks fine with the makerwys.bat, I even copied and pasted the path from there and tried another update, but still the same results, but the bat file did show the new time stamp.

During the install I get a message that my FSUIPC is a latter version and has not been changed. I have also tried updating to a new "Makerwys.exe" just to be sure.

The link for my download has expired. How can I get a new one?

What is the correct way to uninstall RC4.Do I have to delete any other files?

Thanks for you time.

I tried a fresh download but still the same.

I decided to make a copy of the r5.csv file and change its name to r4.csv and replace the r4.csv file in the data folder with this one,and it seems all my airports are now reading correctly! This is all I want to achieve so unless there is a good reason not to do this, all is now well.

Thanks for all the help .

Strange you need to take this extra step. However, unless you run RC automatically, you will not get a current a4.csv, the airport coordinate database. I suggest this:

First run makerwys.exe directly in your FS folder. Copy r5.csv to your rc4.csv in your RCv4\data folder. Then run the auto rebuild for the scenery data base. After all of this finishes check the modified date on a4.csv to see if it is created (just for the first time). If you wish you cab follow the procedure for widefs in the rebuild to speed things up.

Another user who had a similar problem installed RC into the FS folder which resolved it.

While you are not getting an error message maybe one of your security apps is blocking RC from getting into the FS folder for a copy of r5.csv.

Anyway at one point you must run the RC scenery rebuild to get an updated a4.csv, necessary for add-ons that have moved the airport slightly or airports that are new.

Ronzie.

I just wanted to tell that it is working for me now. It was all my fault of course and it was as simple as not leaving a space between "Simulator" and "X" when typing in the path.

I noticed this when checking the settings on a new version of Opus and checking the path there, I clearly saw a space before the X, so I triad it that way and....success!

Sorry to have taken up so much of your time, but thanks so much for the help.

All the best.
