AES worth it for bush flying?

Featured Replies

Not sure how much Airport Enhancement Services would add to Alaska Air Hauler type bush flying. I'm guessing not much, especially since I prefer to fly amphibian type planes.

AES is 95% geared towards airliners and big airports, correct?

Correct.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

I wouldn't recommend it either, besides, it's available only at certain airports. However, if you end your flights at larger airports where guideance to parking is necessary, you might want to take a look at FSDT's GSX, which is available at their airports and some others for free as a trial, and if you buy it, you'll have its services at every airport in FSX. However, if you only want it for GA flying (which would mainly be the follow me cab, then) I'd say, it's too expensive, either.

Might be nice to see a little love in this area for smaller planes but I suppose the market wouldn't support it too well.

Having tested GSX for the purposes of smaller planes and airports, it works well. Nice to see a small food truck show up with a few picnic baskets, a small passenger van show up to take me away from the parked plane and a small fuel truck to fill up the tanks for the next flight. Just felt nice being treated like a VIP, after flying about in something low and slow.
