March 7, 201313 yr Hi! I'd like to know if this is a problem, or you really cannot hear any flaps sound in this aircraft? Is it a known issue? I've bought the plane at simmarket. Thanks Zsolt Bondar
March 7, 201313 yr try pressing Q twice on your keyboard to reset the sound defaults. Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. March 7, 201313 yr Author Didn't help :( I have the sound file (flaps.wav) and it works out of FSX fine, checked the sound cfg file, and all 3 volumes for flaps is set to 30000, which is different to all other sound settings. here is the other sound section of my sound cfg: // Other Sounds ________________________________________________________________ [sTALL_WARNING] filename=stall2 flags=0 viewpoint=1 [FLAPS] filename=flaps flags=0 viewpoint=1 initial_volume=30000 minimum_volume=30000 maximum_volume=30000 [CRASH_SOUND] filename=cncrash1,cncrash2 flags=0 viewpoint=1 [sPLASH_SOUND] filename=cnsplas1,cnsplas2 flags=0 viewpoint=1 [GYRO_SOUND] filename=gyro flags=0 viewpoint=1 maximum_volume=9000 [EXIT_OPEN] filename=opendoor flags=0 viewpoint=1 initial_volume=3151 minimum_volume=0 maximum_volume=8000 [EXIT_CLOSE] filename=closedoor flags=0 viewpoint=1 initial_volume=7048 minimum_volume=0 maximum_volume=10000 [FUEL_PUMP] filename=fuelpump flags=0 viewpoint=1 maximum_volume=9000 Any ideas? March 7, 201313 yr The flaps sound works, but you'll only hear it if the engine is off ... which ant ideal when approaching for a landing lol. I look forward to hearing from the real world 208 fliers if the flaps are more audible. Oh, just remembered I'm using an add-on sound set, not the default. SkipperMac
March 8, 201313 yr Author Thanks, can you hear them with the add-on sound set? If yes would you be so kind to link it? Zsolt Bondar
March 8, 201313 yr I have been flying in real C182 - rather similar plane. And guess what - there is no flap sound audible in the cockpit, even at idle power Bartłomiej Ender
March 9, 201313 yr Can't really compare a 208 with a 182 as they are very different aircraft! As far as I remember, you can hear the flap motors running in 152s and 172s. Can you hear it in the default 208? And where have all the real 208 pilots gone? SkipperMac
