Hi all this is my first FSX video demonstrating Pointsoft's ProATC X....Enjoy.

Very nice job on the video. Also, nice job flying - it looked like she wanted to "drift" to the right a little on the landing, but you hung tough and kept her on the blacktop.  Bravo!

 

Couple of questions, if I may - did you use FS2Crew for this flight?  If so - nice - the flow of it all seems quite "natural".  I tend to use MCE, but FS2 is also a wonderful product.  Next - what did you use to record the video?  Fraps?  Good quality to it all.  Very well done - thanks for sharing!

 

One last thing - don't know if I missed it (these old ears and eyes, y'know.....) - at your destination, did Ground ever direct you off the active and tell you what taxiways to use?  'Cause I never heard it.....but again - I'm kinda old, and I miss stuff like that, sometimes.  :lol:

Hi Ray, yes I use FS2Crew all the time. At the moment ProATC contacts you once you have left the runway, but there is a very large update coming very soon which wil add a lot more content like diverting etc. ProATC is very much a work in progress and the updates are very regular. Thank you sir for the compliments, I'm glad you like the video. Oh, and it was recorded with Fraps.

Hi again...thanks for the info... yeah, I am anxiously awaiting the next update.  I REALLY hope Mourad will incorporate speech recog at some point (read SOON!)  :lol:   You see, I use VAC and my own voice to communicate in real time with ProAtc. For me, it is MUCH more immersive than just listening to prerecorded Pilots and F.Os.  I only use the Controller voices.  I reduced to zero the pilot and F.O. voices that I use.  It works very well for me.  When I use an F.O. (like if I'm using checklists - I don't always), I use MCE. It also works well (for me).

 

Ok, thanks for the info.  I should try Fraps.  Don't know if my Q6600 would handle it.

Nice video. Yes, there is a big update coming. It should have been today(Sunday), but still much to do. In fact more than we thought.

 

Hopefully it will be ready for next week-end. Yes it does include, Flight planning with Alternates both for departure and destination.

Also diversion for emergencies,think FS2crew NGX emergencies.

 

Real time weather updates from NOAA, OPUS, REXe, AS2012 to allow correct flight planning. This includes metars and TAFs(NOAA)

 

There's more fixes and additions, which I will post on the ProATC/X forum sometime tomorrow (Monday UK time)
