A critical error occured:

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been asked before.

For some reason AS2012 reveals the following error on startup:

A critical error occured: Application failed to load - Root element is missing.

I had just performed a windows update.

But otherwise everything was fine until yesterday.

I have 2 HDD on my PC, AS2012 on both.

The error appears on both.

I have Windows 7 X64

Any ideas?

Thanks!

This has been previously reported in the forum - causes aren't clear, but it may be a corrupt file. Uninstall AS2012 and remove all (if any) remaining folders including those in C:Users(your user)AppDataRoamingHiFiAS2012. Then re-install. If that doesn't work then file a trouble ticket with HiFi for more support. If you are running XP the path above will be a bit different. DJ

I just had this happen too I found this by google.

Respectfully,

Jet
