March 15, 201313 yr Hello all, Just a quickie (so to speak) I have noticed a programme called 3D cockpit effects (FSPS) for FSX (dammit) It looks to be absolutely wonderful and if you are running FSX I would seriously recommend that you at least look at it. It is payware but not expensive. It may well also be a similar programme to EZIDOCK too. Does anyone know of a similar programme for FS2004? I have tried Active Camera (Anticyclone) but this apparently only works on one monitor (I am using 7) and only in VC mode..I have 3 screens (main view is projector and is cockpit view) and two 32inch monitors for side views ((VC mode)) Please note that the FSPS 3D cockpit effects may well only work in VC mode as well. I don't know. Googling only brings up the FSPS programme and other extraneous information but nothing concrete about the FS2004 Version and I cannot imagine that the FSX version would work in FS2004. Can anyone help please?? Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). March 15, 201313 yr What is the effect? You mentioned activecamera so I believed the movement of pilot's head when the aircraft is moving right? Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
March 22, 201313 yr I could well be incorrect, but it is my understanding that no program provides cockpit effects if your main view is the 2d cockpit.
March 26, 201313 yr There was a program that was freeware a long time ago that mimicked the effect of g forces on the pilot's point of view or shaking on the ground on take off or landing etc. (I recall that the developer was French though it was a really long time ago so I'm not sure) I think the program (or at least the technique) got bought by a payware company to utilize in their releases and it disappeared from the web. It certainly can be done in FS9 (VC only) as the Real Air Simulations Spitfire XIV does this very nicely. As they are no longer producing FS9 products, Rob over at RAS might be willing to share the technique for freeware use. It really does enhance the "immersion" factor quite a bit.. I could well be incorrect, but it is my understanding that no program provides cockpit effects if your main view is the 2d cockpit. How could such an incredibly intelligent-looking (and cool) dog possibly be "incorrect!" LOL --- Love your photo!!! If any FSX users are interested in this, you should definitely check out the amazing program that is sold by A2A. It does all this and much more! It almost persuaded me to try FSX again!!!! If only it would work in FS9.... sighhhh
March 28, 201313 yr Author Hello all, I apologise for the the tardy reply to your responses. The reason being a blown PSU 1200watt and these are not exactly thick on the ground here in Indonesia. Sk1nNy.... The effect I am looking for is the rattle and shake effect as one is in taxi mode and when on take off roll and landing on a bumpy runway. Call it what you will but I know Active camera does it too. However, AC only creates this effect in VC mode and only on one screen as far as I can tell. As I am currently using 3 external views (1 x Projector and 2 x 32 inch LED screens) it looks fairly silly looking at one screen bouncing and the other two rock steady as you may well imagine. My forward screen(projector) is also in 2D mode and has no effect with AC. The concept though is absolutely great and so is the 2D cockpit effects I mentioned in the original submission. Pffflyers is, sadly, I think, correct in his assertion that it does not work in 2D Kiwiflyer45.... I have looked for hours and hours for any alternative and it seems at this time there is absolutely nothing on the freeware or payware market that I can find that is a viable alternative. So thanks again boys ... I appreciate your responses and again apologise for my tardy reply. Back to the drawing board Tonyc Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard.
