March 23, 201313 yr I wonder if anyone else has had this problem? On approach to Heathrow Xtreme and JFK (both payware) on 1 or 2 specific runways, the ILS system is picking up the back course frequency and attempts to auto land the plane on a taxiway or grass. I have fixed it by changing the frequency by 0.05 which the rules out any chance of the wrong frequency. Is this a known error of either PMDG or Payware airports? March 24, 201313 yr Kind of a problem sometimes, since some airports use same frequency of the ILS for both directions (not really a problem in real world, for several reasons), two localizers with same frequency exist in FSX. There is an option somewhere in the MCDU that makes NGX inherently use actual FSX localizer course ISO what you put in by hand. NGX probably got wind of opposite localizer and now it thinks you actually want to land the other way. Solution: turn the option off and put the CRS in by hand on MCP. --Peter Fabian
March 24, 201313 yr Ahha, I've had a revelation; I remember this happening to me once I think. The problem was caused by arming either LOC or APP on downwind (i.e. I armed the approach when I was heading in the 'wrong' direction). If you're arming either too early, this maybe the cause. I might investigate myself later... Jordan Forrest
